What is Cloud Computing?

What is Cloud Computing and what are its Services?

  • Cloud computing is the distribution of computing services over the internet, including servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, intelligence, and more (Internet).
  • A network or the internet is referred to as the cloud. It is a system that stores, manages, and accesses data online rather than on local storage using remote servers on the internet . Files, photos, documents, audio, video, and other types of data are all examples of data.

Cloud Computing

There are the following operations that we can do using cloud computing:

Why cloud computing?

  1. Developing new applications and services.
  2. Storage, backup, and recovery of data.
  3. Hosting blogs and websites.
  4. Delivery of software on demand.
  5. Analysis of data.
  6. Streaming videos and audio.
Advantages of cloud computing
  • Cost: It saves money by minimizing the high expenditure of purchasing hardware and software.
  • Accessibility: Resources may be accessible in minutes, usually with just a few mouse clicks.
  • Scalability: Depending on the needs of the business, we can raise or decrease the number of resources required.
  • Productivity: We put less operations when we use cloud computing. We don't have to patch anything, and we don't have to keep our hardware and software up to date. As a result, the IT team may be more productive and focused on meeting business objectives.
  • Data Backup and Recovery: Data backup and recovery are less expensive and quick, ensuring business continuity.
  • Security: Many cloud companies provide a comprehensive set of rules, technologies, and controls to help us protect our data.

Types of Cloud Computing

Public cloud:-
  • The phrase "public cloud" refers to cloud resources that are owned and maintained by a third-party cloud service provider.
  • It uses the internet to offer computing resources like as servers, software, and storage.
Private cloud:-
  • A private cloud is defined as cloud computing services that are exclusively used within a single business or organization.
  • A private cloud can be hosted on-site at a company's data center or off-site by a third-party service provider.
Hybrid Cloud:-
  • This is a hybrid cloud that combines public and private clouds and is linked by technology that allows data applications to be exchanged between them.
  • Hybrid cloud gives businesses more flexibility and deployment options.
